About SA Youth Cadets
Designing Future Ethical Leaders
Who We Are
The SA Cadets is a leadership development, spiritual, recreational activity program designed for children and young adults from historically disadvantaged backgrounds which focuses on activities that meet their evolving needs and interests.
Much of our programme is built around physical action to help stimulate development. Action and group activities, adventure challenges, exploration of creativity provides opportunities for the growth of new attitudes and skills that produce personal, team or community spirit.
The SA cadets programme is designed for children and adults, with programmes for young people targeted at age groups of six to seven years; eight to nine years; 10 to 15; and 16 to 23 years old.

Our Mission
SA Youth Cadets' mission is to sculpt the leaders of tomorrow, blending adventure and camaraderie into a leadership development, spiritual, and recreational experience. Guided by Dr. Capt. Rev. Randall Petersen's vision, our dynamic activities spark personal development, team spirit, and a profound appreciation for both Self and Community Love and discipline. We aim to erase generational divides, uniting parents and youth in a shared journey towards creating a new generation of proud, flag-waving South African citizens.
Our Vision
SA Youth Cadets envisions a united community of historically disadvantaged youth on the Cape Flats, embodying our core values of Honour, Courage, and Commitment. We strive for Superior Standing, Merited Respect, and an untarnished reputation worthy of honour. We empower our cadets to embrace Courage, showing mental, physical, spiritual and moral strength to persevere against opposition and fear. Our commitment involves entrusting them with responsibilities and fostering dedication. Our vision is to inspire young leaders who embody these values and proudly represent our organisation in schools and communities.
